Fall

I have fallen last night and I can't remember how - my neck feels busted there a few lumps and another bump around the head There are bruises all over the body (feel them and know they will black and blue tomorrow). Can't get comfortable on bed with my neck in excruciating pain. which i am on here so late. :( I think another bumps or more etc I may have killled myself. :(

Ps won't be going to hospital - hopefully these things settle down. and I no long er have patience for sitting hours and hours.

PS My friend who is doctor was telling the the worst of the week the A&E is filled up with people are ones who do not want to back to work on Monday!

If I remember right, Conne has vertigo, I'm sure she was saying it was bad the other day, maybe even Menieres too which could explain the falls. I fall a lot and I have it, same with my mum.

Could still warrant checking out though if you are falling a lot as could be other/additional causes, I know my mum was when she last fell badly and injured herself, blood pressure, bone scan etc...

Yes Eve we appreciate that but to say she does not want a fuss and is not going to the doctors to avoid that fuss and then post on here knowing that everyone's advise will be to go to the doctors!!

She said she wouldn't go to A&E on a busy Saturday night, not that she wouldn't go to the doctors and get it checked out. Will you Conne if it hasn't settled?

I figured she was feeling battered and bruised and wanted some company and sympathy which is different from the "fuss" of going to A&E on a busy weekend night.

With the history that you have given, with your past medical history,I wouldn't have gone to A&E either.

fgs why gang up on conne? She's perfectly entitled to post here for a fuss and sympathy if she wants! regardless of whether she wants to get medical attention. There are PLENTY of others who post for attention :)

Last answer here - I have been falling from I was 13 years old and am now over 60 so have avoided to be time waster in A&E since as things healed up themselves.

Agree with ann, don't blame you for not going to A & E, sitting there all that time and then not getting anywhere (usually). Hope by tomorrow you feel even better (just take more water with it next time lol). x

What a nasty bunch of comments on here , why should'nt Connemara post about her fall. I haven't been on here long, but have noticed there are some truly spiteful individuals who post.

I am posting Anne and will always try although sometimes it is difficult with the sort of hurtful postings you get - thanks for the good comments to all and am learning to not get hurt by other postings as I have other things on my mind.

Just heard my brother who is bright yellow with "illness" is allegedly going to Spain in November - Wowcher - OMG.

Sister and I thought of talking to him but he is 74 and he will tell us to mind our own business.

Sister of course is perhaps right in thinking no insurance company will take him on.

He was with me 2 months ago and barely made it into my house.

Anneasquith and anybody who is interested of course - still feeling very bruised but good. Hopefully (another posting) kitchen will work out for me.

I had said to myself re this new kitchen - remember Conne it is only a kitchen and chill. Now some things have gone awry. Wowcher - just should have gone to Accident and Emergency. :)

Conne just to set the record straight no one has tried or suggested you stop posting - this issue was you didn't want to make a fuss but you then post all over here - knowing that people will beg you to go to hospital or the doctors.
