getting asked? Some sort of a quiz, but this time it seems to be only one question, rather than a general theme, like the babywalking, heart attack stuff.
Make it stop please! Are the people asking so dim as to not klnow it's been asked loads of times before?

Well it looks like most of the 13 000 000 q's have been removed (as in Q below) - bit annoyed really cos now the reply I put on ages back that seemed to answer it won't show, so won't it just keep coming back up?
After all, I only wanted 50% of the winners prize if it won the comp. - not too much to ask is it?
And isn't that another question - why do people keep putting the same question on when it appears already?
It seems according to the Ed's blog to be a quiz question. But it's a genuine question, deserving of an answer. Presumably if all the posts have all been deleted then the answer (didn't someone suggest it was carbon dioxide emissions or something?) won't show up if you search for it.
Perhaps if the occasional sticky could be attached to the Q&A page (I know, it comes up on other pages as well) saying 'The USA produces 13m tonnes of whatever', then readers could get the answer quickly without having to post the question. Just for very FAQ's with genuine answers, not the toothbrush stuff. Just a thought.
Hi Loosehead
I think the contest has since been won - so we *shouldn't keep getting these questions. What is amusing is that when you "google" the question, the AnswerBank is listed at the top, so poor contestants coming here for an answer get the typical AB response. Though they sometimes overrun the site, contest questions should be allowed to remain on the site - if not for the slight comic relief they provide.
Thank you jno for the suggestion re: stickies - we will keep in mind for future development.
