do the model numbers of phones go up in quality the higher the number?

such as is an 6210 better than a 6100 ?

There is some relation to the model numbers and quality/features but not necessarily the higher numbers are better. I think the first number is related to the group of phones then the next the specific phone and then the last to do with features.

Some phones like the 3120 was just a 3110 with added WAP support.

i agree with WoWo.

models starting with 3 tend to be the lower range, with less features (for those that just want a phone without too many extras). models starting with a 6 are generally business phones. 7*** models tend to be like the 6's, but a bit flashier. and the special ranges tend to have completely different naming schemes: the N90, N70, etc. (all part of the same range).
