I want to remove the shower hose from the bath tap mixer so that I can dunk it in a bucket of limescale remover. There is a hexagonal nut at the tap end of the hose. Is it just a case of taking a mole wrench to this or is there more to it than that?

A spanner would be better as you might damage the chrome plating with the mole grips. If you got to use the grips i would protect the nut with a piece of rag.

Thanks carrust. I haven`t got a spanner. I`ll put a piece or rag on first as you suggest. I just wanted to check that I was doing the right thing as I don`t know what to expect when I remove the nut
