Kitchen Update

Well my nephew has stepped to the mark for me and sent a lovely wee fella this morning - who has great ideas for me.

I knew all along the cabinets may not be not good so he said Conne for the sake of £600 you could get brand new cabinets so I am getting a completely new kitchen.

Also he is converting a dresser that matched the old kitchen to the new kitchen. I am very happy with him and his attitude. He and another guy are coming back on Tuesday with a picture of the kitchen on the other guy's computer and we will talk colours of splashback - granite has gone out of the window and I don't care - it seems to cause more trouble than it is worth ie - waiting for the granite to be cut - 2 weeks more - then polished etc. So will wait and see what the guy on the computer will offer me on Tuesday. This guy fitted my nephew's kitchen and whilst I had not seen it in the beginning (saw it last week) - it is MY kitchen. White gloss and silver appliances - and his kitchen is lovely. Hopefully cross fingers all goes to plan.

cancelled the other man?, I don't want to see you stuck with a whole lot of granite.

Anne the other man was cancelled last Monday and was willing to be so.

PS - two friends have the granite (and I am like a bull in a china shop myself)
some of their granite (not much) has chipped (they chipped it) - so it would have been too delicate a surface for me (as I am as rough as purdyotin)

No Anne - this fella has done other work for my nephew you know - made him a radiator cover - also added new cupboards.

He is a joiner but jokingly called himself a craftsman - it was me who put it to him re the dresser cos it will look out of joint.

Also (dresser) he is going to take away 3 doors and make them into 3 big drawers for pots and pans - he suggested all this - I know he will be good - cos he said to me jokingly we have to get this right cos your nephew'll kill me!!!

Murray - call round to me any time I am quite hospitable -unlike some of my "cousins" they nearly keep you to the door until you bust in.

My door is closed but once in you would be treated very well.

LOL Conne - I am so excited and I can't hide it.

My friend has said I don't know why you are getting a new kitchen I couldn't put myself through it - look, I am mentally ready for it and the appliances are coming soon. It will 3-4 days for them to do their work and my own electrician is fitting me with chrome polished sockets.

here murray - make sure your apples are stewed - we don't like hard urgh apples.

Have put many people up for more than that.

Once put my friend up for 3 months whilst she had work done to her apartment.

But I do remember 12 whole weeks. How did I do that.
