Is New Orleans anywhere like normal after the terrible weather they experienced last year. We are going there in December and wonder if it is worthwhile?

There was talk about abandoning some of the most badly damaged areas but can't say what the latest thinking is.

The city will never be what it once was but now they realise what they're up against with Mother Nature. Have a good trip.
