Milk Bottles, Milk Men ?

Last weekend we went oop north to visit the wicked old ....oops my loving MIL and she had milk in milk bottles, proper ones with foil tops, and she has a milkman who delivers milk eggs orang juice and yoghurt! wow I thought they had all retired. Does anyone on here still have a milkman?

I live in Outer London and my milkman only delivers 3 pints of semi per week to me but he never fails to deliver and he will bring eggs, bread etc if I leave him a note, I don't mind if he is a little dearer if I am ill and cant go to the shops he is my lifeline.

I have a litre of milk delivered 4 mornings a week, at about 7.30, it's from a local farm, it costs me about £12 a month.
