I can see the DRY part but I'm not sure about the DEN.

My dictionary defines arbor as:

2. arbour (US arbor) - a shady garden alcove with the sides and roof formed by trees or climbing plants trained over a framework.

I am not sure how 'native arbor' leads to 'den'
