On the subject of accents, Sam Neill's N. Irish accent is truly awful. Were there no Irish actors available??

Reference is made to the DVD of "series one" and it looks to me as though it is set up for another one

Sam Neill is an Ulster boy, though, with Irish parents. I thought his accent was okay

Only by birth really. It was the classic "trying too hard" of someone who doesn't have it. I didn't actually realise who it was at first and probably would have remained ignorant had the oddity of the accent not prompted me to check.
Anyway, not a catastrophe in the grand scheme of things.

I have a theory about the ending but I don't want to mention it if anyone hasn't yet seen it.
