I just wanted to say that the aftermath of a pedicure is absolute bliss. If you have never had one, and your feet are o.k., then I recommend that you try one.

It leaves you feeling good for days afterwards.

This is not only for the ladies.

No, jno. No salt involved.
I'm another fan. Feels lovely to be pampered and relax with a cuppa and a natter with one of the girls and it's a godsend for me at times as although it doesn't have an impact on the arthritis in my feet it means that my nails are cut and rough skin taken off and they feel nice and soft, I can't get to them properly due to the arthritis to do it myself.

It was also nice to have pretty painted toenails which made me feel a little more girly in the summer which is nice when I usually feel rubbish and frumpy and with the weight I've put on and not having much energy to make much of an effort.

Practical and pampering :)
There might be some salt in the exfoliating scrub :)

Have you ever had the warm wax treatment, that was lovely!

I need the water a bit cooler for mine though as my feet tend to feel quite hot so if it's too warm it's uncomfortable.
Have wanted one for ages but want a REAL chiropodist, not one of these so called beauty places. Unfortunately cant find one near me but will keep looking.
I've never had one, but considering it. I spend all day on my feet, but bit shy!

I'm glad you enjoy yours, Eve. What a nice treat for your poorly feet.
I used to go to chiropodists, one was lovely but left the area, the other two were awful and cut me. Then my GP referred me to a podiatrist - bliss
I find that a junior hacksaw blade is excellent for trimming toe nails.

What's the difference between a chiropodist and a podiatrist? I just go to a beauty salon.
There are pedicures and then, there are pedicures! There are the pampering ones at Beauty salons, and there are the ones done by a Chiropodist/Podiatrist I don't mind which I go to as I enjoy them - I have an appointment for one on Monday (yay!) Like Eve I can't do them myself because of arthritis so it is a treat to have a pedicure. It's nice to have your toenails painted in summer when wearing sandals, or to have them done with Minx coverings. Haven't tried the fish pedicure, but a friend of my daughter does them maybe one day I'll give it a go
I'm waiting for a podiatry appointment as got an ingrowing toenail which keeps getting infected. I saw one after an MRI scan showed the arthritis issues in my feet too and they gave me orthotics to help.

I'm not actually sure what the difference is, never seen a chiropodist.
Glenbar...don't dismiss the so called beauty places....get the right therapist and it will beat a chiropodist hands down....x
