Copying Text From Facebook

Someone from the family has posted a poem on her facebook page, I would love to copy and paste it into a Word document, but it doesn't seem to work now by right clicking and choosing Copy. Has fb changed the rules? How can I transfer this to my own document (She knows I'm doing it, and agrees) Thanks for advice.

left-click on first word, then move the cursor over the bit you want to copy.

Or triple-click within the text

Or you can click the beginning of the text then the end of the text whilst holding down the 'shift' key on your keyboard.

Thanks, just tried the triple click suggestion, it copies but it doesn't paste ........

I know how to copy and paste from other text on any other site, its just facebook which doesn't seem to work now, I used to copy text from there but lately it's stopped working which makes me wonder if fb has altered something.

I just copied and pasted a lot of text from FB into Word with no problem at all.

you say you have word,well some versions of MS Office office have a built in OCR tool optical character recognition tool, turns a picture of text into editable text, theres also plenty of free online places that will so the same.

Use the windows Snipping tool or any other method of making a screen capture you prefer to select the area tha has the text and make a jpg image of it

Load the image into your OCR or upload to a free online OCR site and it will take a second or two to convet to editable text for .

run spell checker, correct any mistakes and then you have your poem in normal text.

Or you could just type it out into word if its not that long a poem !

Ive just copied and pasted the usual way from IE10, FF24 into Word 210 and it works as any other C & P operation, text pics everything I selected
