Does anybody know why Pakistani paper money nearly always has a tiny pin hole in it?

Bundles of money (usually one hundred notes) are stitched together by the bank counting them. The stitching is similar in nature as the method used to fix assorted labels to new clothing and is seen as a sort of seal or evidence thet the bundle has not been tampered with. This method is also used in India and other places.
