Does anuone know the name of a very rare infection,say 1 per million,which can be passed from a dog to a human? Have searched for ages.Many thanks .

Thank you for all your answers, a lot to think about. All I know of the person involved is that he now has very inflamed lymph nodes and feels very unwell.He has seen a consultant , has had blood tests -results pending-- and the consultant told him it could be this obscure illness, but he cannot remember what it was, shocked maybe ,I really don,t know.
Has to return in 3 weeks to the hosp.
