I have a chicken, some lemon juice, a bunch of thyme, olive oil and "$ cloves of garlic.

Mr. Till has just come back from bowls, opened the front door and exclaimed, ' Flippin' eck, that's blowing my flippin' head off!' He didn't say flippin' eck

Do you think I've overdone it?

Since garlic's a trochee, it's technically fine At the start of an otherwise iambic line, But on one received truth you can safely depend, It's no sort of word to be used at the end.....☺

It sure did, giveup. It was lovely. I think the bedroom will smell just as nice tonight!

roasting the garlic is better in the oven, IMO, than in a slow cooker.
Tilly, is it (the garlic) peeled, if not, then as giveup says, it'll be magic

Just to clarify, I did peel the cloves and they did go soft and squidgey in the stock. We didn't eat the garlic and I will take them out of the stock when I use it today. I though I might use it as a base for chicken risotto.
