It seems ridiculously cheap, but how good is it?

Well it only has an 800x400 screen which is pretty awful.

Most smartphones with 3" or 4" screens have a better resolution than that.

Actually the Mail may have it wrong, the Carphone Warehouse says the screen is 800x480 which is still not great.

It may be fine for kids, to put in their stocking, but it is a slow CPU, low on RAM memory (512Mb) and only 8Gb of memory.

The RAM would kill it for any serious useage. Avoid!

Yes, more expensive, but not destined for the bin with 20 minutes.

The Nexus is rather fantastic. If you are going for a budget tablet though, That Tesco Hudle looks pretty well specced - far superior to the Argos one, for much the same price.

Yes I thought that, for £20 more it seems a much better spec.

Regarding the CarPhone Warehouse one, I thought it would make a good first tablet for the younger child, any thoughts on this?
