Our Dacia Sandero is amazing over the speedhumps and bad roads. It was designed for them. A good car, well built and check out that price tag!

I used to drive a Citroen Xantia years ago. It was like gliding over silk on a bed of goose feathers. According to TopGear the C6 is just as comfortable but they are quite rare in the UK and rather pricey. Not sure if the more common and less expensive C5 has the same set-up.
Be careful though. The Xantia (and most other Citroens so I've heard) do break quite frequently and cost rather a lot to mend.

It occurred to me that back pain sufferers might also be looking for the car that's best for providing a jolt-free ride. A bit of googling found this:

Worth a test drive, perhaps?
(Incidentally I also used to drive a Citroen with the 'up-and-down' suspension. [A Citroen BX]. You could drive it over a ploughed field at speed and hardly feel a thing! Perhaps current Citroen models might be worth a look?)
