Anyone help with Q.2: the architect who was schooled at, I presume, St.Andrew's Cathedral, Aberdeen? And which "royal" parish did he design?
Thanks in advance.

The church I was thinking of was near Balmoral and is quite a famous small church. The only one I've found for Simpson so far is St.Giles in Elgin but is it 'royal'? (Maybe it used to be 'royal' in its history?
What do you think?
Thnks everyone. I looked at Crathie Church Balmoral but decided it didn't fit and in any case was too near. The church at Sandringham also didn't have a connection with Aberdeen. However, James Gibbs and St.Martin-in-the-Field does seem to fit, so I'm going with that one. Many thanks to everyone for the discussion.
