Dry tongue
8 Answers
Does anyone know how to prevent waking up in the morning with a very dry tongue? I brush regularly, use mouthwash & drink lots of water. Tried tongue scraper and biotene products to no avail. Would be grateful for any (serious) suggestions.

Do you have a large neck measurement? Cos if you do, regardless of the amount of alcohol you have, or whether you have a cold, you are likely to sleep with your mouth wide open and snore. In which case it gets dry. It's even worse with alcohol. I'm not sure if I'm right about this bit, but if you are scraping your tongue that much are you not taking any natural moisture out of it, and making it dry?
Have a glass of water handy by the bed.

Try keeping the heating off and leaving your window open.I think the other respondants have given v good advice but I find this helpful as you are not drying out with dry heat and your room will be ventilated.Just cosy in your bed to keep your body warm.Believe it or not this apparently beats off germs too - I dont know if thats an old wives tale:)
