ive just watched the latest episode of star trek "INTO THE DARKNESS " and a date came up 2245-55.now I assume 2245 is the year but what does 55 denote, this is for all you trekkies out there

Yes, stardate, not any real logic to it, Captain Slog used to mention it in most episodes of the original series.
