Shower Cabins

Hi All
Has anyone got one of these shower cabins. We are wanting a 800x800. My question is, are they roomy inside. We are going to look at them on sunday but can anyone who has got one recommend a good model.

Yes it's just for one(or one at a time). Do you know if they are any good Factor-fiction.

My advice would be to stand inside them and pretend you are washing your hair. Have you got room for your elbows? Also, is there something to hold on to whilst standing on one leg to wash your feet? Finally, is the shower head detachable so that you can rinse properly?

There are not a lot of reviews for the shower cabins. I have looked at a certain brand but the reviews for it was terrible, so chose a different brand (Insignia GT842) and not a review in sight.

I googled the type you quoted - but it looks like the original teleporter from the Starship Enterprise....
I'm guessing that as with all these shower things the real thing to test out is how the joints are sealed otherwise you could be paying a lot for damp walls and floors.

Ha Ha Mosaic, it does really. We need to have this sort of shower because it was only a couple of years ago that the bathroom was fully tiled so if we went for a normal shower cubicle all the tiles will suffer.

I'd go to a showroom where they are set up (or something similar), and see for yourself. You can't tell from a catalogue.

There are any number of enclosures on the market Rosie, but cabins have rather gone out of favour. It's difficult to see the point of them really. The waste outlet and hot & cold supplies still have to be dealt with.

800 square is the absolute minimum, but perfectly usable.

In your position, I would go for a conventional 900mm quadrant, or a "walk-in". I understand your concerns over the tiles, but it's certainly not insurmountable.

Personally I hate shower cubicles - always too small and you're forever banging your elbows. Give me a simple shower curtain enclosure every time.

In addition to the elbows test, practice bending down to pick up the dropped soap!

I have looked into these because we have had so many problems with leaky showers but whenever we speak to installers, they all say that they are B's to install.
