Warning Electric Appliances!!!!

I read yesterday in my Sunday paper that, the following electric appliances below and others are being recalled, as they could be dangerous.

I have one, the rapid kettle No 9.

1. Bosch Dishwasher.
2. Beko Fridge Freezer.
3. Hotpoint Dishwasher.
4. Beko Gas Oven.
5. Pound-stretcher Vacuum cleaner.
6. Mothercare travel swing.
7. Debenhams Sleeping Beauty Electric Blanket.
8. Laura Ashley Lamp.
9. Tesco Rapid Boil Kettle.
10. Asda Hair Straighteners.

If you have one, contact the supplier with the model number etc.
You will be refunded and you don't need the receipt.

I have a Beko Frost Free Fridge Freezer. The warning went out for these over two years ago. Mine was one of the ones affected. The engineer came out and changed the affected part. Took him all of five minutes. Apparently some of them were catching fire.

Blimey - thankfully I don't have any of these - but if Jeza is correct (and I'm sure she is) this is pretty old news for some of the items?

I had a new neighbour move in next door to me and he had a Beko fridge freezer delivered (and no I was not nosing out of the window) made me a bit nervous but no accidents yet.
