How to revive my old hands?
8 Answers
I'm 23 but have the hands on a 70 yr old. I'm a nurse so I wash my hands about 10 times an hour and am constantly rubbing alcohol gel into them. If thats not bad enough I also have horses so if I'm not at work, I'm out in all weather mucking out and sloshing water buckets about! My hands are aging rapidly and are very dry. Any one have any wonderful remedies to revive them and make them look like young, beautiful hands???

Put the vaseline on before you go to bed, with the cotton gloves (OK so they are passion killers but who cares?) and they make your hands nice and warm. Should be softer in the morning, so use every night ... unless passion gets the better of you !
Sorry, forgot to mention that this treatment is available at a beauty salon, but you can buy the machines, which is why someone at wk should be able to help you, as this is used for psoriasis and dry skin conditions. My sister in law also has horses and I used it for her hands with immediate effect.
the alcohol gel should have emollients in it to protect your hands. Its important to bring this to the attention of your managers as (our infection control nurses say) dry hands are more likely to hold infection than moisturised hands.
My window cleaner wears neoprene gloves to work in to stop his hands bleeding...I think he gets them from mountain sports stuff suppliers, might be worth thinking of for the horse care bit of your job
An old trick of the trade sweetie,--this comes from Italy. At night put Vassaline on your hands a bit more then you would lotion and then place stockings over your hands, the softer or silkier the stocking the more comfortable you will be at night. Do it a couple times and I bet you'll see a difference. Good luck!
