My best one is to use the comparison websites to find the best deals but DO NOT buy from them. Once you have made your selection, go to the website of the company you have chosen and buy through them. I saved another £30 on my car insurance by doing this.

Have your central heating on "timed" instead of on "constant".
Shop online. The last time I did a normal shop in store I spent £35 more than I would normally do (no impulse buys). I do a list and stick to it and then alter it to try and get 10% off the total price (I have far too much time on my hands).
I'd miss out on too many bargains if I shopped online - all those goodies on the reduced shelves.
I'm referring to grocery shopping in my last post.
using the reply paid envelopes and putting someone else's address on them - er with a stamp I stress,

but it still saves the cost of an envelope
microwaving cold tea
Peter, if you do that, the person who receives your letter has to pay the postage. I know this,as someone sent me a personal letter using a company's postage paid envelope.
Oh, sorry. I didn't read your answer properly. I get it now.
You don't need to use an envelope if your letter is one sheet. Fold it in a way that you can prit stick a flap.
When my whisky or gin bottles etc are empty,I always put a drop of water in,just to get the last drop.
Hey folks, did you know the war is over.
That is so wrong, giveup. You need to lie on a flat surface, tip bottle in to mouth for 20 seconds. No diluted alcohol :)
No Marjin - I put a stamp on it as well....

but you could look on it as shifting the cost of posting to the recipient which is still Money Saving.
