Going To Thailand To Collect My Kids, Problem With Booking

i called ebookers today told them i need a return ticket for myself to go to thailand get my children and bring them back to uk, ebookers told me because they were children ( 13 years old ) that i needed to book a single outward journy/ticket myself, then on return journey book 3 single tickets back to uk. this is proving very expensive. how can they call 13 year olds children when before i booked tickets i had to pay for adult fair because my child was 3 years old ?

they just can - their company, their rules. I didn't think there was such a thing as a "child fare" on aeroplanes, in hte way that there is on busses

Why go through ebookers? Try contacting your preferred airline directly. Airlines class toddlers as full fare passenger when they require their own seat.

Have you considered an unaccompanied minors flight, that way you wouldn't have to do the return flight yourself?

I can understand why they asked you to book singles but didn't think there was much difference in price on flights whether it was one way or return, it is usually about double. I'm not clear what your issue is about them being 13, you were always going to have to pay adult fare for a child that age. Personally if I had to book a slightly unusual set of flights like this I'd do it directly with the airline.

My nephews flew unaccompanied children with ba from Singapore...treated like royalty !

Yes my daughter flew unaccompanied with BA to New York when she was 9. The budget airlines won't do it I don't think but then they don't go to Thailand either do they?

They absolutely had fun...best seat in first class...although that wasn't booked...as much as they could eat treatwise....left covered in lipstick kisses from their new girlfriends !
