Does anyone else have any trouble with their Tom Tom sat nav when it comes to one way streets? Mine keeps trying to send me the wrong way down them!! If so is there an answer to this problem? Is there anything that can be downloaded to up date it or something? Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks.

I have the GO 300 and never had a problem. Perhaps you are driving down the wrong way yourself and it is telling you to go the other way? Bloody women drivers.
only joking. X

Perhaps I was ha ha. No I am VERY sure I was driving the right way! Have you driven anywhere with it that has lots of one way streets?
Been through central London a few times. No problems at all.

miggymoo, Ive had this problem in parts of london, and other roads throughout the country. It has told me to go down one way streets, turn right at at a banned turn, and drive down a busses only part of Oxford street.

I think they are just mistakes in the mapping. All you can do is ensure you have the latest map available downloaded to your tomtom. I haven't updated ever - I should do soon but haven't looked in to it.

I've had this problem recently with my tom tom 500, but it was on a road that used to be a two-way raod but has recently been changed to a one way street. Tom Tom gets confused with new road layouts - you've got to remember that the maps aren't always upto date. If you let Tom Tom know any road changes they can get them to update the maps quicker than normal.

There is a junction I use regularly where a slip joins a major trunk road and my route would be stay in left lane and take the very next exit about 300 metres max on main road. The Tom-Tom tels me to take the slip and KEEP RIGHT. rather than to the left which is the correct line. However it soon corrects itself and says to take the next exit, so all is ok. After about a month of thinking about this it dawned on me that it was telling me to keep right to avoid a small left junction on the slip road.

It does tell me to turn into long closed streets, but it is usually quite cheerful about recalculating when I pass the non-existent turn.

On the way to Edinburgh I used a newly built section of the A1 and it got in quite a tizzy as it saw me racing across fields and wanted me to keep turning left and right to get back onto its known road. Haha.

you can download a mapping correction file at poihandler.com as a trucker i have taken this course of action for my tom tom 700 and it helps no end .
