Sewing Pattern Help?

I'm trying to make the above cushions.

I've cut out the triangle, but I can't work out the first fold . . . Can anyone help explain it?

If I fold from a point, then the shape ends up too thin and if I fold in the middle of a length, then the open is not flat, as it's one point of the triangle at the back.

I've drawn out how the shape they've shown would look unfolded and I make it out to be a four sided shape. This is driving me mad, as I imagine it's simple and I've missed it!

fold from the top point so the other two points meet each other. Straight down the middle

The top point is then about nine inches above the fold of the other two points in the middle. It doesn't say to trim this and shows the top (above the fold) being flat.
Am I still missing a bit?

It also mentions; "There's something about their large size" at 15" and after this fold the height would only be 10". Looks considerably smaller.

It looks flat when you fold and press it back to its original shape in picture 5 after the ruler pictures

Hang on, I've read it again and you sew the two triangles together leaving one side open.
Then you line the seam up in the middle and fold flat.
There is no initial fold for only one triangle

Awwh thanks for the picture, that's great.
I assume I sew alone the bottom (picture). I've got the material in front of me and when I put the material flat, so the sewn side (bottom) is now in the middle, the point at the top is not flat and extends much further up.
Sorry if I'm frustrating you. The help you're giving is great.

This pattern makes 4 pillows, so each of the triangle pieces makes one pillow. I have corrected the pattern to (hopefully) make that more clear.

Then the first thing I said is correct. fold from the top point down the middle. The shape goes back to being flat when you turn it back so the seam is at the side again.
