John W Billsberry. I cannot find him or his family on any census but I do not know when or where he was born. He married Mary Roan in 1913 in Leeds and he died in WW1 on 27 Oct 1914 in Belgium. None of the records Ive looked at say how old he was when he died. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I've had a quick look but can't see him. You may need to buy the marriage certificate to get his age and other details.
According to ancientfaces.com John was born in Belgium............

in 1911 John billsberrry (but transcribed as billsbury by ancestry) was living at N9 richmond street leeds with what i think is his mother's second husband, henry wadsworth. i've found his mother margaret re-marrying him i think but didn't make note of it and so double check that.

i'm not happy with this actually. Henry Wadsworth married widow Katie Elizabeth Billsberry in 1888 in leeds. Kate was Kate cardis and married William Billsberry in 1877, she was born 1859.
The family I've put John William with in the early reply was John and Margaret, which means the one with john and margaret can't be the one with him as the son of henry wadsworth. need a bit more delving into those 2 families,

Many thanks DJ. Havnt been on here for a few days so didnt see your replies. I will look into those items mentioned. Perhaps I didnt look back far enough for his birth thinking it would be later. I dont want to send for marriage cert as its not really a direct line, just interested and wanted to update as much as poss.
