I put dried meal worms out every night for hedgehogs and birds. I’ve just caught a cat eating the worms that I put out earlier. Are cats alright eating dries meal worms?

I don't see why not - they probably taste similar to cat biscuit.
Probably making a meal of it.
I don't know but would not have been concerned. All meat isn't it ?
but i wouldn't kiss them afterwards....yuck!!! x
Mealworms are a high protein food and I believe it was tried in the 'third world' as a food for the malnourished. Not sure if it took off. I have some exotic finches that have learned to 'roll' the worm through their beak to extract the soft insides and discard the head and skin. Just like an empty toothpaste tube.
Won't harm them but its a very expensive way to feed a cat! Works our dearer per pound than best beef steak!
I've also caught a cat tucking into the hedgehog food - probably as I put cat or dog food out too with the mealworms.
Not an answer to your question but my dogs eat the birds' peanuts when they can.
