The best guitar to learn?

I would like to learn the guitar. I have looked around and am confused by what type to buy. Acoustic, electric, electro-acoustic???? I know nothing about guitars and I don't want to play in a band, just need something simple to learn with, ********?

Acoustic come in nylon (classical/spanish) or the more common steel strung guitar. Nylon is okay but go out of tune very quickly. Best off with a steel strung guitar. However, acoustics are a lot more difficult than electric guitars because the strings are thicker.

Semi-acoustic is a hollow electric guitar and electro acoustic is like a normal acoustic guitar with built in pickup (for guitar amplification).

Electric guitar is a guitar with pickups where you need an amp to listen to it. You can have many different effects pedals to change sounds. Advantage is that they're easier to play that acoustic.

I'd recommend getting an acoustic guitar.

i'd get accoustic they're straightforward and the electric just has a louder, more electricy sound. electro-acoustic are just acoustic guitars that you can connect to amp and it will basically make it louder but those are more expensive. if i were you i would just buy an accoustic and see how you go.

Get a steel stringed acoustic.

Classical nylon string guitars are really only for playing classical music or flamenco type stuff.

If you don't want to play in a band there's not much point getting an electric. It's not the best thing to learn on either. Learn on an acoustic and get an electric later if you should ever feel the need.
