Of course it will be an illusion. He is an illusionist. There are endless sites on the net where it is explained how he did the block of ice trick.
I don't mind illusionists as long as they are honest about the fact that they are tricking us, wherein the enjoyment lies in wondering, "How did he do that?"; but this guy gets up my nose by pretending to be something he's not. Eamonn Holmes should have smacked him.
Pah.
There is no point in what he is doing, but why should there be? Many things have no point but are entertaining to the person doing it or to the person watching. It sounds boring to me, but I bet there will be many who will find it fascinating, like Big Brother. I agree with Chinajan about illusionists being upfront about their "act". Uri Geller gets up my nose pretending to have super powers.

I think David Blaine is great! I hope he survives his 44 days. I realise he is an illusionist but exactly how does anyone think he is going to get out of that box without anyone noticing? Have you seen where it is suspended? It would be impossible! I think he's brilliant. My best friend and her other half bumped into him in an art gallery in New York. They were stood next to him looking at a painting so Steven asked him "Can you do this?" and did that stupid trick where you pretend to pull your thumb off. David had just laughed and said "No..I can't do that...."
