Blue Badges

when I was in the town yesterday and parked In a disabled bay ,the notice said free to blue and orange badge holders only,i know the blue badge but never knew an orange one existed,what is that for ?

Before being changed to the EU standard blue colour, British disabled badges were orange.

I think Needawin's tongue is firmly in his/her cheek although, interestingly, Northern Ireland actually has white badges (supplementing the blue ones) for people who are allowed to access pedestrianised areas in their vehicles.

It's possibly an old sign. UK disability badges were originally orange (from 1970 to 2000) but were then changed to blue, so there was a transition period when both colours were in use.
