Do you ever wonder why you get ads on here which appear to be directed at you? I know times are hard, and I have thought of moving out to live in a tent, but I am getting daily adverts for log cabins, all at special offer rates. Nothing from camping suppliers yet though. They are missing a chance.

We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt.

There's a hierarchy of advertisers, and when you've been through them all they wonder what to show you - so they show you some nice sheds.

Barmaid, why do I believe that you only get adverts from Fortnum's ? Extremely plausible. I am hoping for some from Lidl, but if I got some from Waitrose , that would be nice.

Even more worrying for me, Fred was that following a phone conversation yesterday looking for advice from a friend about an eye problem I have developed, I received an email within minutes from a company offering help and advice with eyesight......

I did phone the friend back and discussed the likelihood of me getting a date with Stephen Fry....nothing yet....:-(

I have just put some diving gear up for sale on another site, and now I'm getting adverts for dive gear.

Sometimes I get messages on here (not ads) from the Ontario Provincial Police warning me to keep away from the water intake channels of hydro generating plants...Talk about the long arm of the law!

so that I would say explains why you are getting pop ups saying Mr Puli, you ahve not paid enought tax.....

How far do they go in researching? I ordered sofas (at the shop- not online), although i did look online too. I keep getting dfs adverts. How do i tell them they already have my order- not to bother?!
