jprdy by - Edinburgh had an active Calotype 'industry' in the 1840s so you should be able to get really old images -these London ones are 1877 - but they took photies of each other and as Lord MacDonald completely erroneously commented, 'failed to see that the camera could be an instrument of social change.....' [ he puts 20C views on 19C actions - naughty v naughty ] You should be able to get old Edinburgh in the 1850s no probz
Peter, I think that's just a seriffy thing at the top end of the C, not at the bottom, so not a Gough
