Well, they all died for different reasons. For a start, if Britain hadn't stood up to Hitler, where would we all be now ? Speaking German I expect. And I know it isn't universally popular to say so, but if we hadn't acted against Saddam Hussein, he would still be killing 10,000's of his own people every year. Ditto for Milosevic, and all the rest of Balkan Butchers. If we hadn't gone into Afghanistan, the Taliban and other uneducated and backward extremists would be shooting little girls in the head, just because they wanted to go to school.

I'm proud that Britain has played its part in world affairs...long may it continue.
