Blueray Dvd

I've been told if you buy a BlueRay DVD player you can't play regular DVD's on it - only BlueRay. Is this correct?

My two BluRay players both play normal DVDs, so I assume others will as well.

Rather well actually - it upscales them electronically to immitate a higher resolution image

Although not compulsory, BluRay manufacturers tend to maintain backwards compatibility with the other digital disc formats i.e. DVD and CD.

It is possible that some BluRay players are not DVD compatible.

A quick look at these blu-ray players on Amazon shows they all play DVDs, too.

Two things that may help...it's actually Blu-ray, and it's not connected with DVD...so don't use the two together. It's NOT a Blu-ray DVD player.
