I have a sony recordable dvd player about 3 months old. After working perfectly fine it has started to say 'cannot play disc' everytime I close the disc drawer with a dvd in it and then spits out the disc again. I've tried swithcing off at mains, restore factory settings, old discs, new discs etc. Any suggestions before i have to bundle up the whole thing and get a replacement (again).?

Bring it back. If it's not working after three months, bring it back. The more people that do that, the less likely it'll be that retailers palm off rubbish goods to us.

Well I took it back to the shop and they tested it to see if i was lying. When it didn't work he has arranged for someone to deliver me an identical model and take the old one away. However, this identical model is re-conditioned. Does that mean second-hand??!! Can they do that????
