murder in beach hut (possibly France??)

trying to source out a book my mum read years ago...all she remembers is it involved "a murder or something like that" <-her words not mine! it was set in a beach house/hut or near the beach and it was possibly set in France...any ideas?

There's an Agatha Christie which involves such a murder. It was a Poirot novel, but I can't remember the name.
