We've been for a pleasant day out in London today but my, how cold it was there. On returning at 9pm it was 10 degrees back here in norfolk but must have been nearer freezing point there for the best part of the day.

What's it been like for you?

I'm in Bucks, which was -1 this morning and windscreen scraping needed. It's now a sultry 5 degrees.
Dull damp and cold in the West Mids.
still 10 degrees, at last, some of the leaves lifted and stuffed away or burnt - another 1.5 acres tomorrow facing me.
It hasn`t been too bad in London today. Outer London is 5 degs C at the mo and it us usually a couple of degrees warmer in the centre.
I was working outdoors from 0630 to 1900 in London for the past two days. It was very cold first thing on both days (particularly yesterday) but lots of people were dining al fresco later on, as it was really quite mild.

It seems much the same here in Suffolk today.
Stockton: I ventured out about 2:30 p.m. and it was just starting to cool off (I was wearing my warm base layer and a fleece jacket). It was quite pleasant early on though.

9 degrees and foggy here tomorrow according to the weather forecast, but at least that's not the big freeze that was being predicted.

According to my mum, we're getting some snow in London soon.
Thats later next week, Maydup.

Is your mum a reporter for the Daily Express then? They're always reporting potential weather chaos (or, just occasionally, 'the hottest summer of the century') but I can't ever recall them getting it right!

The Met Office has 'a risk of snow' (but with no suggestion of any great amount) for London on Wednesday. Thereafter ice might be a problem but probably not snow:

As I'll be working outdoors in London from 0630 to 1900 next Thursday & Friday (and the same again the following week) I sincerely hope that someone will order up some lovely weather on those days!
It's colder here than an Eskimo's thingy!

So how do you come to have intimate knowledge of Eskimo's thingies, Cupid04?
I've seen igloos on the telly. Bet I know what you were thinking, lol!!
