We might have a chance of beating Germany next week if they send their Womens team.

Watching that, was struck by the thought that England couldn't beat any team in the top half of the Premiership, even with those teams playing without an England player, or indeed, an Englishman. Individually, nearly all the Chilean players were better on the ball , and quicker and better passers, than ours. Even their goalkeeper would have made a good midfielder.

England to get into the last stages of the World Cup? No chance.

England are dross, full stop. The so-called 'Golden Generation' were only golden when it came to their pay-packets. What summed it all up on Friday was the double substitution with Tom Cleverley and Jordan Henderson coming on. If that's the future, then god help us!
