Back To Work On Monday

Why am i feeling nervous? There may be an atmosphere, seeing as i have been off sick for 3 weeks, 2 of which my doctor signed off. I will ring my manager tomorrow and arrange to chat with him before i go in on Monday, to be honest, i do want to go back to work, i miss it, but 'I.m still not feeling great. One week i was offf sick, i was supposed to be on annual leave 2 days of that, does this mean its been wasted?

No it is not wasted.

Your Ts and Cs are that you can self certify and then get a cert which you have done and so the holiday is carried over.
This is your right and not discretionary - but you have to take it before the end of your leave year. I was off for a year and it was all carried over. Oo you are lcuky people said and I replied yeah do you want the cancer that does with it ?

You should have asked your doctor to sign you as fit for a phased return to work and spoken to your line manager to refer you to an occupational therapist maybe. I've had 7 weeks off and had a phased return over 3 weeks but still not right, you'll be going back too soon if you feel apprehensive. If your unfit for work note covered the period you were meant to be on annual leave you still have that entitlement to use up.

Hiya, I went into work today, and asked to work in the dept. Supervisor gave me a cold welcome, I could cut the atmosphere with a knife...she really would have preferred me to go on wards, I really cannot manage it physically....I will tell manager when he gets the time to see me!!!.the two days annual leave that was booked while I was off sick, have not been carried over, so I will ask my manager whats happening in regards to that also. I realised today, that I will not go back to work there, the entire place is unsympathetic, and just treat you as a skivvy, no respect what so ever for staff that work hard, I get more gratitude from patients, which I think my senior colleagues don't like. I realise also that certain staff get preferential treatment, why? I really cannot understand.
