OK is another. Surely nobody thought that a comic misspelling of "All correct" would outlive the fad for such constructions and become the OK which everyone uses for 'that's fine' , 'agreed' or 'yes'.

Yes, having read the link, you appear to be correct :-)
One thing I have noticed is the increasing use of the preposition "around" where previously people used "about": "we had some discussions around this topic"
For some unfathomable reason I find it intensely irritating, but also odd how it seems to spread like a plague
