I would agree with Triggerhippy, I think. For a long time, for me, Tom Baker was "The Dr. Who" being the one I grew up with, but I think David Tennant has eclipsed that now, as has Matt Smith, and at least in part because of improvements with special effects and all of that.
Mind you, I recently rewatched some of the Chris Ecclestone Dr. Who episodes, and I think it a shame he decided he only wanted to do 1 series now. Looking forward to seeing what Peter Capaldi can bring to the role; At least one part of me would love to see a Malcolm Tucker/ Dr. Who mashup! :)
