My cavalier spanial begs food all the time he stands and barks when we eat , i have tried making him go outside but he just stands and barks i dont want to annoy the neighbours so i let him in .He also steals the childrens sweets etc he is a complete nuisance HELP.

have you thought about crate training him. Just started with our puppy and its works well. not an expert so i cant realy advise you on how to start with an older dog, but there are lots of web sites and books.

we have had two cavaliers and have found them both to be real foodies.We now ignore ours when we are eatingit has been difficult but it has worked took a couple of weeks with the stealing of food a loud no seems to work followed by praise when she obeys just try to be consistent not easy i no

Thanks for both your answers the site you mentioned was very good i have put it into my favourites.We are now ignoring his demands for food until a specified time will see how long it takes .Thanks for your answers.
