now i need to get lots of story sentences to create funny stories. Its for low level adult students learning english, they always expect the class to be a laugh, as well as a learning experience

Yes consequences. We used to play with a large sheet of paper each; write the first bit e.g. It was a cold winter's night, fold paper over to hide it, and pass it on to next person who writes the second bit, folds it over, passes it on etc etc. it all ends with " the consequence was..........."

We used to play this game in school and used to come up with some rather risqué stories!!!

That's not quite Consequences as we used to play it at home (but we were quite little!).

That was one person adding the next bit to this script

1 said ***
2 said ***
then they (did something) ***

and the consequence was ****

... and yes, horseshoes - if we played with my dad, he's often put in quite naughty bits, which went way over our heads!

well one thing it wasn't called consequences, it was simply an unfolding story, where your poor neighbour had to continue the story , eg I was walking down the street one day, when i came across man with 3 arms, then it was your neighbours turn to continue the story. The object was to give your neighbour an almost impossible thread to continue with.
