Seriously, if it makes its way through the Sun and there is a lot of doubt as to whether it will, then early morning and evening, low in the sky and I believe a southeastern aspect - it would/should hopefully grow and climb into the sky as it gets closer to Earth. Show time about 17 days, I believe, starting Saturday/Sunday....

Keep watching the skies. :-)
Do you mean meteor shower? the minor South Taurids, and more impressive North Taurids and Leonids.
I think it might be seen in early December. I'm sure there'll be more about it on the TV nearer the time.
I'm confusing meteor with comet. sorry.
Is there not a meteor (maybe a comet, I have no clue), that's supposed to be grazing the surface of the sun at some point today?

Do I mean comet ? The thing that's being talked about at the moment !
Look to the east before dawn, I'm sure I spotted it in the eastern sky last week
it was after sunrise when I saw it though, so I could have been mistaken
Comet ISON - today is the day when either it'll come through its close approach to the sun and be a spectacular sight, or not.

That's it ! ...must keep eyes peeled
In Slappy's backyard I bet - it's just him on his way back and forth as to the Falklands.....

Thanks DT....
they reckon that, if it comes through, it will be clearly visible, i.e. head and tail, with a pair of decent binocs....
Dt a few days ago ... but since it is going near the sun
please do NOT look at the sun,,,, BUT
get up really early 5 - 6 am and look where the sun is to rise
low on the horizon
can be seen with binoculars

they say - I havent done this myself but plan to
