I was just wondering if this shipping craze over here has reached your shores yet.

Just as aside… the Monday following Black Friday has become known here as Cyber Monday… It's promoted as the busiest day for on-line shopping of the year. It started maybe 4 or 5 years ago. It hasn't reached the mania of 'Black Friday' but still exceptionally prolific for on-line sales and increases in volume from year to year (Think Amazon!)
There is a word that the Yanks use for the Friday after Thanksgiving Thursday, but I have forgotten it. I was in New England for Thanksgiving in 2008 and everybody went shopping the day after.

Also, did you know that they all go shopping on December 26th ? Boxing day means nothing on the other side of the Atlantic apparently.

Boxing Day is a statutory holiday in Canada; however, many people go crazy over the 50%, or more, off sales and are out fighting and foraging for stuff for next Humbug season!
Isn't Labor Day a sales day too, in the US anyway. I remembering being in New York an abandoning my ex in Macys who was after bargains to go hide in one of the Starbucks in there. I'm not a big shopper :)

I've spent one in Hamilton/Toronto too though it seemed more lots of stalls down by the lake and a big air show on.
I hope Harrods is not to busy? :-)
