Mobile phone network engineer

Hi all.
I recently completed a course in mobile phone network engineering theory, however I am finding it almost impossible to find work, or even to find the companies that provide the engineering services. I believe the UK networks sub out all their 'base station' and 'antenna/mast' maintenance. Is this so, and does anyone know a list of maintenance service providers i could send my CV to.
