It seems that Jamaica and St. Vincent are seeking reparation from Britain for the slave trade. I don't think anyone should pay reparation for something that happened so far back in history. If those countries want it, why don't the native indians in America apply for it? Or the people of South America apply to Spain for the damage done by Don Cortez? Where should it end? Why don't the Trades Unions in this country apply for reparation for the abominable way employers treated people in this country in the 18th and 19th centuries?

one thing which irks me somewhat about those seeking reparation, are they were not directly involved and are seeking reparation from those who were not involved either.

Similarly, the Trade Unions (not many of them left) won't/can't seek reparation from the employers who have mostly gone belly-up anyway.

Anyhoo, how's the new job doing?

They seem to forget that they also dealt in the slave trade by selling their own people.
