This works on the basis that it's not the cold virus that makes you feel ill, but your body. Women seem to have a better tollerance of various things such as pain, and it may be that their bodies just don't make them feel quite as bad (or they are better at ignoring it) since genetically they've got a pretty important role to play.
Not sure if theres any proof of their immune system being better however. Then again, a lot of is down to each person and how they personally react to such things...
