Indigenous Peoples - Nick Griffin
8 Answers
There is already a Nick Griffin thread, so I won't interfere with that one.
Nick Griffin made a thought provoking observation, which was jeered and shouted down ...
Is it wrong to think of an "indigenous peoples" within the UK ?
The hecklers shouted that there was no such thing in modern society.
But what (observed NG) if we told the Native Americans, or the Australian Aboriginal groups, or the Alaskan Innuit ...
"There's no such thing as "indigenous peoples" so stop bleating on about it" ?
What if we told the native Indian population who lived in India before the Empire turned up that they have to stop claiming that they were the indigenous population, and just live with it?
Were the hecklers right?
Or was NG right?

Native Americans are a whole series of indiginous groups not one of their own - they came into contact with other civilizations quite late and there is not that much (comparatively speaking) cross over. Ditto with Australian Aberiginals but more so.
In Europe thee have been links throughout Europe since before the ice age - The UK has seen successive waves of mixing roman - saxons - vikings - normans - jews - French Hugenots the list goes on and on and on.
In my own familly, my father was born in NY to a Canadian mother (goodness knows where she came from) I married an Irish woman who was the daughter of a Jewish Austrian refugee.
Talking about an indiginous British people is rank nonsense.
Chanel 4 did a documentary some years back where they did dna tests of some prominent right wingers and many found they had lineage from surprising places

Found it.
It was called 100% English - annoyingly Norman Tebbit turned out to be almost purely English but he was in the minority.
Carol thatcher and Garry Bushell were involved
One woman even threatened to sue them - well she was told she had sub-saharan genes in here "very recent genetic history"
